What Are Intelligent Fields?

Intelligent Fields let teams define the data they want captured from every conversation and have the agent fill it in automatically. You describe the field in plain English, for example "Is the customer at risk of canceling?", and Maven evaluates each conversation and records the answer.

How Intelligent Fields Work

  • Flexible types: Fields can be text, yes/no, single select, multi-select, or number.
  • Explained values: Each value is stored with a confidence score and a rationale, so teams can see why it was set.
  • Real-time use: Values can drive Segments and Charters during the conversation, so the agent can change course when, for example, frustration or escalation intent is detected.
  • Queryable: Field values are available for reporting and analysis, and through the API.

Why Intelligent Fields Matter

Most conversation data is unstructured and hard to act on. Intelligent Fields turn it into consistent, structured signals that power routing, reporting, and sentiment analysis without manual tagging.
