MCP support let the agent connect to external systems through an open standard rather than a proprietary integration, with environment controls added so teams could manage what's connected where.
Use case
An engineering-forward customer already investing in MCP for their internal tools was able to bring Maven into that same ecosystem from day one rather than maintaining a separate integration path.
